Craigslist Posting Tips. The Best Advice For Surviving The Recent Changes At Craigslist.

Here are some tips to posting on Craigslist that you need to be aware of.

Back just a year or so ago Craigslist was easy to post ads on and I made money hand over fist. I would place 30 ads on a good day and could earn as much as $1000 on a great day.

All that changed as Craigslist started to get calls from law enforcement about spammers who were defrauding people on a worldwide scale. Prostitution was also out of control on Craigslist.

Now with the infamous Craigslist Killer in custody, Craiglist is now even more popular than ever.

If you make a living on Craiglist or are about to try then here are some important tips to consider to keep you from getting banned or having your ads ghosted out.

1. When posting an ad on Craigslist never post duplicate ads anywhere on the list within 48 hours of each other.
2. If you have multiple Craigslist accounts then you must use a dialup ISP so you can get a different IP address each time you post. Using DSL, FIOS or Cable won’t work as you will have one static IP address and Craigslist will find out right away. That means trouble for you!
3. Never jump from state to state posting free ads with the same Craiglsist account. Try to keep your posts in the same area code. I have noticed recently  (10/3/2009) that jumping from state to state will cause your ghost your ads.
4. If you do decide to post your ads from state to state here is a tip. Post 4 or five ads to one area code and then wait until you see them appear online. Then switch to another area code and post. This technique will lessen your chances of having all of your ads ghosted.
5. I try to maintain a separate Craigslist account for each area of the country I post. Lets say I want to post an ad in Colorado. I would use my dialup ISP and dial through a Colorado area code. Craigslist will think your local and you have a great chance of success of getting many ads posted using this technique.
6. ALWAYS CHANGE YOUR IP ADDRESS AND CLEAR COOKIES BEFORE LOGGING INTO ANOTHER CRAIGSLIST ACCOUNT TO POST MORE ADS..
